About Avora

Plain words about research, and nothing else

Avora Clinical Partners is an information service. We explain clinical research in six areas, describe what taking part involves, and keep people updated if they ask us to.

Our purpose

Why Avora exists

Study listings are written for researchers and regulators. They are precise, and they are hard going for anyone living with the condition they describe. People told us they gave up halfway down a listing, or called a study and could not follow the first questions.

Avora rewrites the useful parts: what the condition is, the kinds of study that run, what visits involve and what to ask. We chose six areas where research is active and plain explanations are scarce, and we would rather cover those well than cover everything thinly.

Scope

What we do, and what we do not

We do

  • Explain six areas of research in plain words
  • Set out what taking part usually involves
  • Send occasional updates by email, and by text if you ask
  • Answer the phone and reply to every message

We do not

  • Run, fund or recruit for clinical studies
  • Give medical advice or say whether a study suits you
  • Pass your details to study teams, sponsors or anyone else
  • Sell anything, or carry advertising

Who you reach when you call

Avora Clinical Partners is a brand of Consumer Response Media. A small office team answers the phone and the inbox. Nobody here is a clinician, so we will not comment on your health or a particular study, but we will help you find the right page, the right question or the right person to ask.
